On Friday, December 18th, Judy took some time to visit our class while home from Cal State East Bay near San Francisco for winter break. Judy just finished up her first quarter at Cal State East Bay where she is majoring in Criminal Justice. Judy took time to speak to our class about "College life" and the importance of Priorities that come with being a college student. Judy dorms at Cal State East Bay in a suite with 4 other students, and has to balance her studies with work, school clubs, and "dorm life." Thank you Judy for taking time to visit our class, and sharing your experiences with our class. We look forward to hearing more from you on the blog.
Judy has agreed to support our class this year by sharing her college experiences at Cal State University of East Bay. Here is a short bio about her which she wrote, and I'm going to make a special section for her on the blog called, "ask Judy"
"Hi! My name is Judy Chen and I will be an incoming college freshman this fall. I will be attending Cal State University of East Bay where I will be majoring in Criminal Justice. I was a shy sixth grader in Mr. Valdez's class back in 2008. Mr. Valdez's caring, bright, and funny personality made me break out of my shell and encouraged me to work hard in everything I do. I've encountered many wonderful opportunities at Nightingale and gained a lot of insightful understanding on what it takes to become a successful student. I graduated from Nightingale in 2011 and am proud to be a Nightingale alumni. Feel free to ask me any questions relating to middle school, high school, or even college life!" |
