Attention all 7th graders, the ten marks website is ready to use. Please try it out as soon as you see this message. Log on with your user name and password that I gave you on Friday. It should be working. I assigned a lesson on area of different shapes. Try it out, and let me know if it works.

Good Morning Students! Here are some more details on the cell project I mentioned in class:
Good morning students. I hope this day finds you well and rested. Here's a little reminder to check the power my learning website for a new check point. Remember students that once you submit your answers I have to grade them. So, make sure it is correct before you submit your answer. Practice them first, research them on the internet if you need to then submit your answer.
Spend some time practicing your math on power my learning , then remember to turn off the video games, TV, or step away from the computer for awhile, and go OUTSIDE. Enjoy the outdoors by playing some hoops, go on a walk or a hike with your family. There's some great trails at Griffith park. I encourage you to be healthy by being active and enjoying some outdoor activities with your families. Enjoy! What are the main components that make up the Earth's internal structure?
What type of evidence did Alfred Wegener find to support Continental Drift?
Q has also agreed to communicate with our class and share her college experience at the University of California Berkeley.
"My name is Qiao Er Michelle Li (they call me Q) and I am currently a freshman attending the University of California Berkeley. I was born in China but spent most of my time growing up in the Chinatown and Lincoln Heights area. I attended Nightingale from 2008 to 2011 (go Class of 2011 Explorers) and later on went to Downtown Magnets High School. In high school, I took on the hobby of playing tennis, became ASB president, Class President, and many other roles on campus. I was also Class President of the Explorers at Nightingale. Being able to speak to new people and peers in middle school really helped me set the foundation for who I am today. I met some of my closest friends, developed good study habits, and began branching-out during my nighthawk years. It seems like only a few months ago that I was sitting in your seats as a middle schooler in Mr. V's class (223 the place to be, with Mr. V) and listening to AC/DC blast from speakers during clean up time. Time passes by super fast and it is best to make a solid foundation for your future starting now! Study hard, speak to your peers, and make the best of your time. Good luck!" A few reminders for all my students:
