Science Homework for 6th and 7th graders!
- Do something outside with your family. Here are some ideas. Visit Griffith Park, the LA Zoo, a local museum like The California Science Center or the Japanese American Museum in Downtown LA, Olvera Street, Union Station, or any other museum in Los Angeles. Most of them are free. If you can't do any of these, a local park is fine or even just talking a walk around the neighborhood with your family is great.
- Spend at least 20 minutes listening, seeing, observing, and writing down all the sounds that you hear or wildlife that you may see.
- Describe where you went with your family and any interesting facts about it that you may find on the internet or from brochures that you picked up.
- Write at least one page describing where you went, what you did, interesting facts, and any wildlife that you saw. This can include sounds that you heard, things that you observed, and/or anything that you learned. You can type this if you wish and send it to me using google docs, or you can just write it out on paper.
- For anyone who has an i-phone or i-pad, an i-movie trailer would be an awesome way to do this assignment, but is not required. If you choose to do an i-movie then you do not have to type or write out the assignment but must share your i-movie with the class.
- This assignment is supposed to be fun, and a time to get you outside and to do something with your family.
- Any pictures that you take would be great to add to this assignment.
